Your one-time Butterfield Trail Village entrance fee purchases a life lease on an Apartment, Cottage or Village Home. Once it is paid and you have moved into the residence, you enjoy an independent lifestyle in your new residence as long as you are able to do so.
A monthly service charge covers one meal a day, 24-hour security and emergency service, all utilities except cable TV and phone service, interior and exterior maintenance, groundskeeping, housekeeping, social activities, transportation services and access to an indoor heated pool, spa and exercise room. Skilled nursing services and short-term rehabilitative services are available on an as-need basis. The fee amount that each resident pays depends on the size of his or her apartment and the number of occupants.
Since applicants must be capable of independent living, and Butterfield Trail Village is the most in-demand retirement community in the region, it is recommended that you reserve a place on the waiting list. Your entrance fee and monthly fee provide the following:
- One meal per day, graciously served daily (breakfast, lunch or dinner)
- All utilities paid except telephone and cable TV
- Regularly scheduled transportation
- Weekly flat linen service
- 24-hour emergency response by nursing staff
- On-site security
- Skilled nursing care
- Activities and social programs
- Maintenance for buildings, grounds and furnished appliances
- Trash removal and recycling
- Snow removal
- Every-other-week housekeeping service
- Wellness counseling
- Vespers services
The application process is simple.
First you select the residence that best suits your lifestyle.
Then, complete your Priority Reservation Agreement with your name, residence number, social security number and your fully-refundable deposit of $2,000.
This process will secure your preferred residence until you receive formal notification to proceed with the next step. Residences are reserved in the order that completed agreements are received.
Once you are notified to move ahead with the next deposit, you can secure your place at Butterfield Trail Village by completing your Confidential Profile and submitting a fully-refundable deposit of 10% of your entrance fee, along with a minimal non-refundable application fee.
You then sign the Continuing Care Residency Agreement, which finalizes your place at Butterfield Trail Village and locks in the lowest possible price for your new home.
Your deposits are always refundable. Should your plans change, just notify us in writing to have your deposit returned. There is no risk for securing your retirement future because deposits are refunded with interest.
Carriage Club
At Butterfield Trail Village, you can start enjoying special treatment even before you make your move. Carriage Club is a program that provides individuals who have made their $2,000 Waiting List deposit with a variety of privileges, including:
- Invitation to Annual Summer Dance
- Invitation to Annual Christmas Party
- Lunch once a month in the Butterfield Trail Village dining room
- Free blood pressure screening at our in-house clinic
- Free subscription to Overland Express, where you can get to know our residents and stay up-to-date on what's going on in our community
- Announcements of special programs, guest artists and cultural events
- Quarterly subscription to the Trailblazer newsletter
